World’s most Instagrammable hotels

Three of Dubai’s most iconic hotels, Burj Al Arab, the Atlantis and the Palm have been voted as the most Instagrammable, beating global competition. 



The Dubai trio beat 77 others to receive the top accolades. The research conducted by travel experts, Dubai Tours & Tickets analysed a list of 80 global hotels to establish which held the most hashtag posts on social media platform, Instagram.

  1. Burj Al Arab – Dubai – 2.5 million posts – the self-proclaimed ‘global icon of Arabian luxury’ stands on its own artificial island and is one of the tallest hotels in the world. Known for its sail-like shape it offers 198 exclusive suites with a dedicated 24-hour butler service. The hotel is posted on Instagram, 2,869% more times than London’s timelessly elegant Claridge’s. 

  2. Atlantis, The Palm – Dubai – 673,000 posts – another of Dubai’s signature hotels, it is easy to see why this palatial pink building garners so much social media interest. The 5-star resort boasts an impressive 1,544 rooms within its ocean-themed resort. A stay secures free access to the world’s largest waterpark, the Aquaventure. 

  3. Soneva Jani – Maldives – 423,000 posts – it’s hard not to take many pictures of the Maldives. This barefoot luxury collection of 51 overwater villas, with seven island residences is a taste of the castaway experience. Adding to the magic is that it is only accessible by seaplane from the nearest airport or by speedboat from a neighbouring island.  

  4. Villa d'Este, Lake Como – Italy – 201,000 posts – coming in at fourth place is Europe’s finest Lake Como hotel. It offers lakeside luxury with its own floating heated swimming pool. Once a royal residence during the 16th century, there are further photo moments to be taken within its 25 acres of gardens with views over the lake. 

  5. Bellagio, Las Vegas – US – 187,000 posts – with water fountains, synchronised with music lights, it’s easy to see why so many photos have been taken of this Vegas favourite. The 5-star Bellagio, occupies a prime location and has 210 guest rooms, suites and 23 bungalows and is rumoured to be popular with the Hollywood elite. 

  6. Beverly Hills Hotel, California – US – 143,000 posts – it’s another win for the U.S. hotels with the Beverly Hills Hotel coming in at sixth place. Famous for its well known 90210 zip code, it is located within easy reach of Los Angeles. Alongside the 210 guest rooms, there are 23 luxury bungalows.

  7. Giraffe Manor – Kenya – 117,000 posts – a boutique hotel in a leafy suburb of Nairobi, Kenya’s Capital. It offers 12 individually decorated rooms. Photo opportunities are abundant given the resident herd of Rothchild’s giraffes roaming freely. 

  8. Ritz, Paris – France – 97,100 posts – it’s back to Europe for the winner in ninth place. The hotel offers elegance and charm with 142 rooms. The iconic swimming pool is a photo opportunity in itself.

  9. Marina Bay Sands Hotel – Singapore – 96,900 posts – it’s all camera lenses to the top with this hotel. Topped by a ‘SkyPark’ – it boasts the world’s tallest infinity swimming pool.  There are two exclusive Chairman Suites, equivalent to the size of over two tennis courts, making them one of the largest suites in Singapore. 

  10. Claridge’s, London – UK – 84,300 posts - last but not least is London’s iconic and forever charming, Claridge’s. The 5-star hotel has royal connections and is a favourite with celebrities.
