Review: The hotel where presidents and film stars hang out

Delegates will experience life as a VIP with a stay at Loch Lochmond’s hotspot for high profile guests and the high flyer lifestyle.

A strip of verdant land juts out into the calm waters of Loch Lochmond, a testament to the hotel’s beginnings. Cameron House takes its name from the Celtic name ‘cam sron’ or ‘crooked nose’, a reference to its location rather than any family who lived there. In fact, the country estate was associated for almost three centuries with the Smollet Family, a cohort of novelists, merchants, military and even a knight.

Today, the property retains both its family-feel and links to the rich and famous. Obama stayed here during COP26, and Leonardo Di Caprio- a big fan of Scotland- has bedded down at the hotel several times. Footballers can often be spotted relaxing in the lounge areas and restaurants.
