Resorts World is the newest and most expensive hotel development on the strip, costing $4.5billion. And while it's the home of many headline residencies the three-hotel offering is also the perfect base to go and explore the latest and greatest Vegas activities.

Groups can be transported to other worlds in the sensory overload that is Area 15 and the immersive alien supermarket that is Omega Mart. Immersive experiences don't stop there, with Cirque du Soleil's newest show Mad Apple (at New York New York) challenging all ideas of what you might expect from the acrobatic show.

But if intergalactic experiences aren't enough, why not transport groups back in time by visiting; the Mob Museum to learn about Vegas' gangster history, El Dorado Canyon's desert gold mining experience or having dinner at the new Mayfair Supper Club - situated in the heart of the Bellagio hotel, overlooking the world-famous fountains.

Lip Smacking Foodie Tours and Maverick Helicopters also make the perfect pairing for a whistle-stop tour around some of the best restaurants in town followed by a flight over the dazzling lights of the strip.

As part of episode two of the second season of The C&IT Show, Calum Di Lieto travelled to Las Vegas to view hotels and activities on offer.
