British GQ’s event planner discusses glamorous events and partying with Stormzy
C&IT spoke with British GQ's freelance event planner, Atalanta Lawson-Coyle, about high-end sustainability, outrageous party bags and her favourite celebs to party with.
1. What drew you to working in luxury events?
Serendipity played a big part - along with hard work. I began freelancing for GQ when a call was sent out whilst I was studying at Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design - they just wanted help packing their gift bags for the GQ Heroes event at Soho Farmhouse. I thought I’d help out, make a bit of cash and it would be a good insight into this industry - which I hadn’t really considered.
