42% of event planners dislike virtual events

The majority of event planners responded negatively when asked if they enjoy planning virtual events.

During the latest episode of The C&IT Show, viewers were asked their opinions on virtual event planning.

The majority (42%) said they disliked doing so, while 33% claimed to be ‘indifferent’ - a description that also doesn’t inspire confidence in virtual event planning.

However, in contrast, a quarter of respondents said that they liked or really liked planning virtual events - with the majority of those that did respond positively (17%) saying ‘really like’.

Therefore it seems that the industry is quite polarised when it comes to their sentiments. Although two fifths dislike planning virtual events, if an event professional is positive about doing so then they are really positive.
