Did you get deja vu from any of the media coverage of the World Cup in Qatar? For some it seemed reminiscent of the notorious Fyre Festival -  a ‘luxury’ music festival that ended in disaster in 2017. 

From an event's perspective both fell down in similar ways when it came to forward planning, but Qatar certainly had it's own takeaways for planners to consider. And whether it's a conference for a few hundred or an event as prolific as the World Cup, it's important to get it right - here are three event lessons to be learned from Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup...
