Rebecca Connolly, Project Manager at Cheerful Twentyfirst, talks to C&IT about the best practice for creating sustainable events. This comes along with today's announcement that Cheerful Twentyfirst has released its 2023 CSR Charter.

Part of Aeorema Communications group, their 2023 CSR Charter introduces an annual commitment to both publish and offset their operational carbon footprint, the hire of a permanent People and Culture manager, the use of preferred pronouns in agency signatures and the removal of gendered toilets in their UK offices.

Steve Quah, Founder and CEO of Cheerful Twentyfirst, commented, “Our revised lead assessment tool will help us gauge and prioritise work that nurtures our creative potential, drives continued agency growth and considers environmental and social impact within a dedicated framework. It places us in a wonderful partnership with our clients to support them on more and more creative and engaging briefs that match our ethos.”

Through this Charter the agency aims to be a values-led agency, looking at people, planet and prosperity as a balanced scale.
