ClosePhilip Smith is Head of Content Solutions and Studio, Haymarket Brand Republic Group. He has run – over the last 3 and a half years – the successful content and creative solutions team which produces branded content, including web sites, events and print specials and supplements, for a range of media owner, agency and brand clients who want to connect with influential media, marketing and advertising audiences.
Since 2013, as head of Studio, his role expanded to oversee production of all editorial and commercial content, including online, print and video content, at the marcomms publishing group, which includes the following business magazines and brands: Campaign, Brandrepublic.com, Marketing, Media Week and PR Week.
Providing a perspective from the U.S., in her current role at PeopleNet, Dahl is responsible for the planning and coordination of over 100 corporate events and trade shows as well as several company hosted events; maintaining and monitoring all social media platforms; and the planning and execution of the annual User Conference for nearly 1000 attendees.
She also currently serves on the Conference Advisory Board for the U.S. event, EXHIBITOR, which focuses on “best practices in trade shows and events”, and will be presenting on social media at EXHIBITOR2015.
As Social Media Team Lead at Cvent, Emily manages and implements Cvent’s social media marketing strategy. In addition, she creates content strategies for the company’s event management platform and engages with its social communities/industry influences.
Since joining Cvent earlier this year, Emily has already launched two successful live event social media campaigns for the entire company related to its two user conferences, Group Business Forum and Corporate/Association Meetings Summit. She has also taken the lead on rolling out an employee advocacy program that empowers employees to become Cvent Brand Ambassadors across the company’s social media platforms. Prior to joining Cvent, Emily worked at Northrop Grumman where she lead and implemented the enterprise social recruiting strategy and positively shaped the company’s online employer brand reputation through engagement content and community management. Gordon has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years in a number of senior roles. Over that time, Gordon has worked for TSB, Direct Line and RBS. Gordon joined AXA in December 2009 to develop the strategy and proposition for their Commercial Direct venture. Gordon is now responsible for Marketing and e-Commerce at AXA’s commercial direct business.
Gordon has an MBA with the Open University. He lives in Bothwell and loves all kinds of digital stuff, music and football. He plays bass in Glasgow-based band, Dark Flux, and has written one novel, “Midnight at the Old Aces”. He is an avid fan of Hamilton Academical FC.
