Currently, AI is all the rage, but will the hype come to an inevitable crash? According to Veemal Gungadin, CEO of event technology company Gevme, it will. Just like the flurried hysteria of social media in the 2010s and Excel programmes in the 2000s - there are a lot of AI fads that are not currently worth investing in. Gungadin explores how event professionals can actually use AI effectively and boost their event profit.

Recent LinkedIn research showed that 55% of working professionals globally said they expected to see their jobs change as a result of generative AI. In events, 56% of those thought work would be disrupted in terms of human command. So, what does this mean for event profitability?
