Singapore assistance schemes offer exclusive perks and funding support for planners

Singapore understands that the MICE industry is a catalyst for economic recovery, drives new knowledge and builds an innovation economy. That’s why Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau (SECB) has always sought to encourage the growth of quality events in the country through an impressive raft of incentives for organisers.

SECB recently enhanced its assistance schemes for event planners to attract new MICE business into Singapore as part of its post-pandemic recovery roadmap. This includes Business Events in Singapore Programme (BEiS), a financial and marketing support scheme offered to companies that meet certain evaluation criteria. Through the scheme, qualifying companies receive funding that covers a percentage of costs incurred in event planning. SECB can also help in securing venues and facilitate introductions with leading government agencies and business partners.

Two further schemes, In Singapore Incentives & Rewards (Inspire Global) and the Singapore MICE Advantage Programme (SMAP), offer perks such as complimentary experiences or shopping vouchers for groups over a certain size.

With SMAP, be rewarded with a host of exclusive privileges and convenient services, from the moment you start planning to the day your guests arrive. Get complimentary air tickets on Singapore Airlines, subject to a minimum spend, or surprise delegates with complimentary in-flight messages or a welcome desk at Changi Airport to greet them upon arrival.

Wow your delegates with an exclusive light show under the iconic Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay or enjoy a Cocktail experience at an iconic venue. These are among over 60 exclusive complimentary experiences available under the Inspire rewards programme.
