From B-girl ‘RayGun’ scoring “nul points” to THAT pole vaulter who couldn’t clear the bar for an intriguing reason.
1) Pole position
Spectators went wild when French athlete Anthony Ammirati was unable to clear his pole vault due to his manhood. The incident has gone viral, after footage captured the athlete knocking the bar over with his nether regions. Apparently this is much more common than you’d think, with the same incident occuring for a different athlete at the previous games.
Although Ammirati was clearly gutted, the internet responded with cheeky puns and jokes aplenty. One posted: “Ammirati failed the bar and the commentators are clearly having a HARD time acknowledging what happened.” Another wrote: “From pole to pole.” A third person quipped that at least he left with his ego intact: “The best way to lose… man’s ego is still there.”
